About the Program

NTTU’s Department of English was established in 1993. Later, in 2020 we added our Master's program. Our department is dedicated to cultivating student English literacy and fostering student interest in British and American literature as well as English teaching and applied linguistics. We offer courses in western literature and cultural literacy, linguistics, TESOL, and professional practical training in business English, and tour guide operation. Our Master's program covers issues facing contemporary culture and future literary subjects with an emphasis on biopolitical studies. We also plan to broaden our course offerings related to western children's and adolescent literature related research theories to cultivate research talents focused on the pulse of current events and the implications of current trends on future generations. One of our core goals is to continually foster community cooperation and actively cultivate a new generation of international talents.
